Olivere cleans up in Delaware Division 1 meet By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Lydia Olivere, US#17 individually, won the Division 1 cross country title in Delaware on Saturday in 18:23.1 and won the girls race by 85 seconds. It was Olivere's third state title and came on the 5,000-meter course at Brandywine Creek State Park. She led a dominant effort by Padua, which went 1-3-4-5-8-9 for 19 points. Olivere's older sister, Maddie, improved from sixth in 2015 to third. RESULTS Senior Vail Freed from Appoquinimink won the boys D1 race in 16:37.8. Salesianum won the team crown with 40 points. Tatnall won its 13th consecutive Division 2 girls title and its eighth straight boys championship. Sophomore Keelin Hays ran 18:41.8 to win the girls race by more than a minute and led Tatnall to 21 points, its lowest score in four years. Tatnall went 1-3-4-6-7-8-15. Sophomores Connor Nisbet of Wilmington Friends and Brendan Balthis of Tatnall went 1-2 in the boys race. Nisbet ran 16:26.6 and beat Balthis by four seconds. Tatnall won with 60 points.
